On May 11th, 2017, Columbia County Pathways to Recovery launched a recovery helpline. In January 2026, we expanded our services and resources and are now known as the Recovery HOPE LINE. This recovery helpline, which can be reached by calling 877-HOPE-365 (877-467-3365); is available from 9am to 9pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and offers vital Columbia County resources such as: Information, Resources, Referrals, and Connections to other local recovery programs.
It is important to note that we are not a crisis hotline. If you are in a crisis situation, please contact the Columbia-Greene Mobile Crisis Assessment Team (MCAT) at 518-943-5555, which operates from 12pm to 7pm, 7 days a week. In case of a medical emergency, dial 9-1-1 immediately.
Our Recovery HOPE LINE is staffed by trained volunteers, many of whom have personal experience with recovery or support a loved one in the recovery community. We’re here to help and to provide hope.
Everyone deserves to find the path to recovery that works for them. There is help and there IS hope in recovery, including substance use support.
If you are interested in learning more about volunteering for our recovery helpline, please send us an email, and we’ll provide you with the necessary information.
NEW FOR 2026 - We are excited to announce the expansion into a Community HOPELINE, which will extend our resources and capacity to better serve the residents of our community. The Hopeline will remain available seven days a week, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, offering essential support for those seeking community resources, mental health services, or assistance with substance use disorders.

We are always looking for volunteers interested in helping with events, community meetings, and outreach efforts related to Columbia County resources. Volunteering with us is a great way to give back while gaining valuable experience in providing substance use support—we’re happy to provide letters of recommendation, verified volunteer hours, and meaningful resume-building opportunities. Additionally, you can help us promote our recovery helpline. Download our information packet and volunteer application below.
